Associate Scott Foster

Scott Foster practices intellectual property law, with an emphasis on patent prosecution and infringement counseling. Working in the computer and electronic arts, Mr. Foster has familiarity with a wide variety of technologies, including network and message protocol, embedded real-time software, web development, middleware platforms, and object-oriented design.

Mr. Foster received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Texas A&M University in 2006. From 2002 to 2008, he worked in the defense industry in the hardware and software engineering departments at Raytheon Company. During his internships and later full-time position with Raytheon, he performed product development and manufacturing support for a diverse set of product lines in the Space and Airborne Systems and Network Centric Systems divisions.

In 2011, Mr. Foster received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the College of William & Mary in Virginia. While attending law school he served as the Executive Editor of the William & Mary Business Law Review and on the Moot Court Board as the 2011 Spong Tournament Research Justice. His publication, Breaking the Transsubstantive Pleading Mold: Public Interest Environmental Litigation After Ashcroft v. Iqbal appeared in Volume 35 of the William & Mary Environmental Law and Policy Review. Mr. Foster served as judicial intern in the chambers of the Honorable Paul D. Stickney, United States District Court of the Northern District of Texas and the Honorable James A. Moseley, Court of Appeals Fifth District of Texas.

Mr. Foster is admitted to practice before the courts of the state of Texas and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
