Mr. Hood has over 28 years of experience in patent prosecution and counseling, primarily in the electrical and software arts. In particular, Mr. Hood has significant patent prosecution experience in the areas of cellular / wireless communications, computer system architecture, computer-based measurement and automation, graphical programming, 3-D graphics, computer peripherals, networking, and object-oriented software. In addition to his patent prosecution experience, Mr. Hood’s practice also includes counseling clients regarding various aspects of patent protection and enforcement.

Mr. Hood received his Bachelor of Science degree and his Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Rice University in 1988 and 1989, respectively. He earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree, cum laude, from the University of Houston Law Center in December 1992. Mr. Hood’s Master’s program focused in the areas of digital signal processing and computer architecture.
