Michael Runas

Technical Advisor

Michael Runas serves as a technical advisor specializing in integrated circuits and systems.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Runas worked as an assembly process engineer and later as a MOS memory design engineer at Texas Instruments. Mr. Runas then went to work at Benchmarq Microelectronics where he designed a series of DRAMs, a low-power real-time clock, a proprietary RISC microprocessor, and depletion programmable ROM macrocell. After Benchmarq, Mr. Runas moved to Cirrus Logic, Inc., where he managed the design of a VGA graphics core with an 8 megabit embedded DRAM frame buffer. Following his work at Cirrus Logic, Mr. Runas founded a consulting company, Poles & Zeros, Inc., which provided circuit design consulting services to companies such as Basis Communications, Inc., Intel Corporation, and Microchip Technology, as well as technical support for patent litigation. Most recently, Mr. Runas worked at Intrinsity, Inc. (later acquired by Apple, Inc.) where he assisted in the porting of proprietary dynamic logic circuits to various semiconductor processes.

Mr. Runas is a member of the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He is a co-inventor on 19 United States patents.
