Patent Agent

Catherine Gerhardt is a registered Patent Agent and has prepared patent applications related to computer hardware and software, as well as other technologies. Mrs. Gerhardt received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering with Honors from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2016. At the University of Texas at Dallas, Mrs. Gerhardt was involved in research focused on mechanical testing of metals coated with ionic liquids for dental implants. Mrs. Gerhardt was the captain of the Women’s Cross Country team, as well as the team lead for her Senior Design project designing a home security system employing Bluetooth technology.

Prior to joining the firm, Mrs. Gerhardt was employed as a product engineer for a startup here in Austin, working on orthopedic implants with a focus on spinal implants. In addition, Mrs. Gerhardt assisted in the research and development of stem cell therapy devices, specifically employing autologous stem cells in the repair of cartilage and bone in knee, hip, and spine.
