Tamas Kovacs

Technical Advisor

Tamas Kovacs specializes in hardware design, ASIC design flow and computer systems. He serves as a Technical Advisor.

Mr. Kovacs received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington State University in 1988. While an undergraduate student, he worked as a Technical Assistant for the College of Engineering, and participated in a software design project for the University’s Foreign Languages Department. Mr. Kovacs was awarded Engineering Scholarships for both his Junior and Senior year.

In 1993, Mr. Kovacs earned a Masters of Science degree in Computer Engineering, also from Washington State University, where his thesis work focused on Signal Arbitration in Asynchronous Digital Systems. Upon graduation, Mr. Kovacs served as a design engineer for seven years in Motorola’s Semiconductor Products Sector, where he participated in the continuing design of Motorola’s popular line of 68K microprocessors and a variety of embedded IP design projects. He was also awarded a joint patent for his design work in the area of hardware-based JBIG graphics processing.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kovacs worked as an engineering consultant for Zaiq Technologies, and most recently as a hardware-design engineer at Interactive Silicon.
