Michael Phipps

Mr. Phipps specializes in legal counseling and patent portfolio development and management. Mr. Phipps has prepared and prosecuted patents in numerous technology areas including medical devices, datacenters, cameras, virtual design, cyber security, telecommunications, financial transactions, cooling systems, HVAC equipment, hydraulic fluid pressure sweeps, perforating devices, well bore and well head tools, projectiles, defense technologies, and lubricant additives. Mr. Phipps has also handled trademark prosecution and licensing negotiations.

Prior to working at Kowert, Hood, Munyon, Rankin, & Goetzel, P.C., Mr. Phipps was a partner at Loza & Loza, LLP and a senior patent counsel at Munck Wilson Mandala, LLP.

Mr. Phipps is also actively involved with the Knights of Columbus, St. Mark Catholic School in Plano, TX, and his three kids’ multiple extracurricular activities.
